Feine Drahtskulpturen strukturieren und verändern den Raum, während Tänzer:innen in einen choreografierten Dialog mit ihnen treten. In der Bewegung entsteht eine performative Zeichnung, in der sich Körper, Linie und Raum neu vermessen. Die Arbeit wurde an der Folkwang Universität der Künste entwickelt und an renommierten Orten wie dem Museum Folkwang, tanzhaus nrw und internationalen Festivals gezeigt.

passing lines ist eine interdisziplinäre Performance-Installation an der Schnittstelle von Zeichnung, Skulptur, Tanz und Raumgestaltung. Ausgangspunkt ist eine Serie feiner Drahtskulpturen – transformierte Linienzeichnungen –, die den Raum nicht nur strukturieren, sondern in Bewegung versetzt werden. Der menschliche Körper tritt mit ihnen in einen choreografierten Dialog, kartografiert sie durch Geste, Kontakt und Umkreisung.
Die Performance eröffnet eine „performativen Zeichnung im Raum“: Durch die Bewegung werden die linearen Objekte neu gelesen, verschoben, gestapelt – als wären sie Notationen eines unbekannten Systems. Der Raum wird körperlich erfahrbar, Maßstab und Struktur werden temporär neu verhandelt.
Konzipiert wurde die Arbeit im Rahmen einer semesterübergreifenden Projektarbeit an der Folkwang Universität der Künste und uraufgeführt im Museum Folkwang Essen. Es folgten zahlreiche Präsentationen u. a. im tanzhaus nrw düsseldorf, im Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud und auf internationalen Festivals. Die Arbeit wurde mehrfach gefördert.

passing lines is an interdisciplinary performance installation at the intersection of drawing, sculpture, dance, and spatial design. The starting point is a series of delicate wire sculptures — transformed line drawings — that not only structure the space but are also set in motion. The human body enters into a choreographed dialogue with them, mapping them through gesture, contact, and circling.
The performance unfolds as a “performative drawing in space”: through movement, the linear objects are reinterpreted, shifted, and stacked — as if they were notations of an unknown system. Space becomes physically tangible, while scale and structure are temporarily renegotiated.
The work was conceived as part of a cross-semester project at the Folkwang University of the Arts and premiered at the Museum Folkwang in Essen. It has since been presented at numerous venues, including tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf, the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud, and international festivals. The project received multiple grants and funding.
